At Amazon Alexa, I led the evolution of our voice-first design system across multimodal devices. This ranged from ambient screens to smart displays. Early on, as a Senior Visual Designer, I helped define the foundational layouts and visual language. As I grew into the UX Creative Director role, I led team of multidisciplinary designers (interaction, visual, motion, and illustration) in scaling this system across product lines over 6 years.

My team owned the definition and delivery of multimodal patterns and components, overseeing innovation and implementation across Echo Show, FireTV, desktop, tablet, and the Alexa App. The system spans 10+ responsive breakpoints and scales to 14 global locales, optimized for both near and far-field viewing, and adaptable to ambient and direct interaction models.

My team owned the end-to-end UX architecture and visual frameworks, including:

• New multimodal interaction patterns

• Scalable motion and visual systems

• Responsive component libraries & variants

• Defined color tokens, typography, and grid systems

• Illustration systems and contextual backgrounds

• Implementation guidance for product and engineering partners

• Marketing, packaging, and go-to-market (GTM) support

• Partnered closely with GTM and brand teams to craft visual narrative

• Human Interaction Guidelines (HIG) used across the Alexa Devices organization
